It applies when product obsolescence or customer preference for OpEx models threaten traditional product sales. The primary outcome is neutralized product obsolescence and enhanced customer loyalty by providing continuous functionality and outcomes.

This maneuver neutralizes 'Product Obsolescence' (MKT_STR_006) and 'Customer Churn' (MKT_STR_007) by aligning the firm's incentives with the customer’s operational uptime.
